My friend Kristin invited me to shoot their training session near Mt. Charleston.
It was super cool watching the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the volunteers of the Search and Rescue Unit go through their drills.
To give you an idea of what these folks go through, the warm up was a 3-mile run with 50+ pounds on their backs followed by a series of “Short Haul and Fast Rope” drills. I was tired just watching them!
Below are a few links to the gallery. The tiny speck over the mountain tops are volunteers being hauled by the copters. These folks are hardcore!
